I love the possibilities of clay and how each step in the making process has an impact on the resulting pot – choices around clay body, glaze, firing method, and surface decoration all change how a pot will look and feel. Below is a snapshot of my work as I continue to explore all the facets of making ceramic art! Each piece is formed and decorated by hand.

One aspect of pottery that hooked me initially was its functionality: I love that I’m creating functional art!

To experiment more with form and hone my sculpting skills, I developed these quirky little creatures which I’ve decided to call “fishlings.”
Inspired by the village houses I grew up admiring around the holidays, I create unique decorative pieces that can be enjoyed year-round.
