2025 Feature Piece

In September, I was scheduled to attend a Wizard-themed show put on by Geek and Grub in Apex, NC. I thought it would be fascinating to further my sculptural building to the scale of a Hogwarts Castle!!

Due to the size of the campus, I decided to focus on the Great Hall and main tower:

After hand building the Great Hall and throwing the tower on the wheel, I tested many glaze combinations to ensure I got the weathered effect I was looking for.

I was very happy with the end result.

Josh was too, so he found a solid slab of walnut for this piece to sit on, shaped and finished it.
